Reference

The reference is where you look up what a component is and how to use it — every field, its units, its default, what it does physically, and how it shows up in the viewport. Where Concepts explains why, the reference is the what: one page per component, organized by group.

Planned groups:

  • Model basics — Node, Rigid Body (and shape primitives).
  • Joints — a DOF-removed/DOF-left overview, then one page per joint type (Clamp, Revolute, Prismatic, Spherical, In-Line, Cylindrical, Fixed/Weld, Planar, Axial Rotation).
  • Springs & Loads — Spring/Damper/Spring-Damper, Force, Torque, Gravity.
  • Markers & Requests — Marker, and the five Request types.
  • Simulation settings, plus the shared drive-law and constitutive-law tables every load and spring draws on.

Being built out

These pages are authored in stages, grounded against the live app so field names and defaults never drift. Until a component's page is live, the tutorials and Concepts are the best reference for it.
